CELEBRATING 28 YEARS: A Note of Appreciation
This June marks the 28th year of the gallery. It is amazing to me how much has changed in New Orleans but how much remains the same even after Katrina turned us upside down.
If you haven't been here since the storm of 2005 it is time to come! Magazine Street and Uptown New Orleans is thriving, the French Quarter is enchanting (and cleaner than ever before thanks to our mayor).
There is a new spirit of solidarity among all of us who call New Orleans our home and a robust recovery is going on especially along the Lakefront and Lakeview areas, Mid City and Broadmoor.
So many neighborhoods host monthly outdoor events such as green markets and craft fairs and it gives us all an opportunity to realize why we love our city. The people, the food, the music and the wonderful eccentricity that only New Orleans has to offer!
Our June exhibition will feature work by our newest artist, John Oles, and Jere Allen. John is a recent graduate of Tulane University and will be exhibiting his elegant porcelain vessels. Jere, one of our most established painters, will exhibit a stunning new series of figurative paintings in white. The exhibition runs through the summer months.
